Dear Customers
We would like to inform you that in our company new version of the international offset printing standard ISO 12647-2:2013 has been successfully implemented, which focuses on efforts to simulate usage of optical brighteners in paper. For customers, this means using two new ICC profiles for data preparation and also in the production of proofs:
1) PSO coated v3 for print on coated paper based on the new reference FOGRA51 that replaces the previously used profile ISO coated v2 based on FOGRA39.
2) PSO uncoated v3 for print on uncoated paper based on the new reference FOGRA52 that replaces the previously used profile ISO uncoated v2 based on FOGRA47.
Both new profiles are available on our pre-press page.
The standard will be completely implemented at Livonia Print this month. From 1st of July 2017 we are able to fully process all data prepared pursuant to those changes.
Due to these changes after 1st of July 2017 colour proofs have to be printed using the new ISO standard to be valid as a reference for printing.
Till the end of 2017 we will be working in parallel with the new and old profiles and references in the following ways:
- data will be kept in pristine condition and printing will be carried out according to new standart, if files are delivered and correctly assigned to new profiles;
- data will be converted by us by means of a specialized software so that they comply with the new standard.
Reprint orders will be converted by a specialized software starting from 1st July 2017 automatically.
