Livonia Print is a printing plant and bindery in Riga, Latvia, specialising in full colour and black-and-white book production.The plant has been designed to have the shortest and fastest production cycle to produce high quality books. At Livonia Print we offer a combination of technical proficiency, many years of experience in book production and exceptional standards of customer service. Our team is ready to provide professional advice and help from the moment you decide to publish a book to its completion. Our average production time is 2-3 weeks from the time the customer sends print-ready PDF files, depending on the season. The finished books can be delivered to any place in Europe within 1-3 days. We are proud to announce that we have been recognized as the best Exporting Company by the Ministry of Economics of Latvia and the Latvian Investment and Development Agency in year 2009. In the group of medium/big companies there were 22 candidates for the prize , Livonia Print among them . In the second round 10 companies participated and the decision of the jury was to give the first prize in this group to Livonia Print . As our sales director Janina Bluma said in the awarding ceremony on the 15th of December : ‘’ We have to divide the award in 4 parts :
2009-04-08 Five Swedish Book Art Contest 2008 awards to Livonia Print This year Livonia Print has won 5 diplomas from 25 in the Swedish Book Art Contest 2008 . Our awarded book publishers are Makadam Forlag in cooperation with foundation Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, Bokforlaget Atlantis, Folke Dahlberg Sallskapet, MBM Forlag, Albert Bonniers Forlag and the jury has used the following expressions to characterize our mutual work: ….elegant book, qualitative till the tiniest detail…, Very beautiful double pages, fantastic foil stamping on cover…, Outstanding printing work and materials…, original details…, effective foil stamping,… beautiful and different cookery book…., charming, beautiful and ezotheric…. We congratulate our customers and thank them for the given opportunity to produce their books ! The overall mission of Swedish Book Art Association is to encourage and inspire the book industry to improve the level of quality in the production of books. Since 1933 Swedish Book Art annually selects 25 books produced in exemplary fashion to serve as models for emulation. The selection is based on the principle of appropriate and aesthetic adaptation of form to content from the standpoint of typography and printing technique. The jury of the Swedish Book Art consists of designers, publishers, photographers, printers and binders. Swedish Book Art 2008 exhibition is open for visitors at the Swedish Royal Library in Stockholm March 19 – August 27. After that the exhibition will be shown at Gothenburg book fair, Centre Culturel Suedois and Bibliothèque Nordique i Paris, book fairs in Frankfurt and Leipzig. 
2009-01-21 Inkredible awards 2008 
2008-09-12 Livonia Print is again investing in cost-saving technology Due to increased demand for Livonia Prints services and our wish to serve our customer even better, we have decided to invest in a fully automated gathering/sewing system from Muller Martini. This will be the first system of this kind installed in our part of Europe. It will make us even more competitive on books with a large number of sections as we will be able to gather and sew up till 24 sections in "one go". If more sections are needed, they can be added via hand-feeder. With this investment we will have in total three sewing machines. The machine is expected to produce in our premises by the end of september. 
2008-08-15 Our new Heidelberg CD 102-5 has arrived and is being installed at our premises. We hope the press will start running already next week. 
2008-06-17 We have booked exhibition stands at Gothenburg (September 25-28, stand nr nr C01:30), Frankfurt (October 15-19, stand nr 3.1 M652) and Oslo (November 21-23) Book Fairs and will be glad to meet you there ! If you would like to have an appointment, please, let us know the best time for you. 2008-06-11 A year ago we received our new printing and binding equipment from Heidelberg and Müller Martini. Today our production works around the clock . To be able to meet the growing demand for our products we are installing a new 5-color printing press from Heidelberg which will start operating in July. 
January 10, 2008 – Livonia Print has been certified as a SmartWood Chain-of-Custody company and has received The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certificate. Thus Livonia Print makes its contribution to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forest resources.Clients who would like to involve in Forest Stewardship program by printing books on FSC certified paper and using FSC logo in books are welcomed to contact Livonia Print representatives for more detailed information before placing the order. December 6, 2007 - Livonia Print company presentation event in cooperation with Latvian Embassy in Stockholm and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). 
Livonia Print was officially presented to the Latvian public on November 29, 2007. The event was attended by 50 people, among them our equipment and material suppliers, publishers and mass media representatives.
