What do plotter and pageproof mean and what are they good for?

After receiving the files, we print out a plotter or make a digital pageproof, which we send you for approval before we start printing the book.
  1. The plotter is a low resolution printed version of the book’s content which is used to see the eventual layout of the text and drawings. The colour on a plotter does not represent the eventual quality though – so do not worry if the colours are not a 100% correct! On request we will send you a separate colour proof for the cover.
  2. The pageproof (a.k.a. webproof) is the electronic version of the plotter.
